WHAT TO EXPECT

AthleanAcademy offer two wellness options: Rehabilitation and Recovery.

​

We understand that injury can be frustrating for players, especially those who want to return to play as soon as possible. However, it is crucial that athletes correctly nurse their ailment, to ensure longevity on the pitch. For the athletes who want to heal efficiently and effectively, our Rehabilitation service is for you.

 

Our Head Coach, Alfie, will assess your injury, using a movement screen test, to understand how best to help you return to play. From here, movements and exercises will be prescribed to help strengthen and mobilise the area of injury. Alfie will oversee your rehabilitation period, to ensure that your injury is healing, allowing for a smooth transition back onto the pitch.

Athletes who are looking to maintain their training regime and reduce the risk of injury would benefit from incorporating our Recovery sessions into their weekly routine. 

​

Our recovery sessions are intended to be delivered post-match (up to 48 hours after) and include low intensity and light impact aerobic training, designed to increase blood flow, improve mobility and reduce the volume of lactic acid within the body. Using specialist equipment, such as compression garments, Theragun and deep tissue massage balls, athletes should expect to feel energised and recuperated. You also won't want to miss out on the complimentary high omega-3 protein shake every session!
