WHAT TO EXPECT

At AthleanAcademy, our Elite Training offers bespoke technical and cognitive coaching to improve position-specific gameplay.

As an elite athlete, it is important to maintain a steady workload without peaking prematurely. Our Elite Training sessions are designed to progressively increase intensity, to match game speed. Sessions will begin with light mobility exercises and continue into game realistic drills. By the end of each session, athletes will be working at match intensity, but this does not mean we will push you beyond your limits. To ensure you are working within a sustainable intensity range we precisely monitor heart rate, using STATSports equipment. This gives us live feedback and analysis, to confirm that you are getting enough stimulus from the session.

An additional strategy we use to determine athlete wellness is to measure body weight before and after each session, to provide an indication as to how much water is required by the body to sustain hydration. This is an extra wellness indication which can contribute towards a swift recovery post-training.

These sessions are a great addition to professional team training, as they offer an individualised approach and can be utilised to determine strengths and weaknesses within your game.
